Jackson Leads Honu to 11-3 Win Over Slice
The Hawaii Honu scored a convincing win at Copps Park, defeating the Manhattan Slice, 11-3. One of the hitting stars was 22-year old center fielder Zach Jackson who went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. The third-place Honu are 77-70.

Carlos Nieto had a big 2-run home run for the Honu in the top of the fifth inning. With Hawaii leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from former first round draft pick Tom Clow and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the Honu on top, 5-1.

"It was our day today," Nieto told the Hawaii Today. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
