The Chicago Eclipse finished off the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-3. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Sean Martineau. Martineau went 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Eclipse. Chris Titus earned the win for Chicago. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 16-6. The win puts the Eclipse at 81-65, while the Tornadoes drop to 67-79.

A key moment came with no one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Martineau hit a changeup from Monty Brewster for a run-scoring single, putting Chicago up, 3-1.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Martineau after the game.
