Marauders Defeat Blazers, 7-0
|
The Maple Marauders downed the Bloomington Blazers, 7-0, at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Maple pitcher George Soucy Jr. definitely brought his A-game. Maple is now 65-81. Bloomington is 92-54.
Dustin Leard had a big bases-clearing triple for the Marauders in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Maple leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Erik McKnight and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Marauders ahead, 6-0.
"George did a tremendous job," said Maple manager Daniel Dillon.
