Starting pitcher Melvin Sepulveda gave the Seattle Sasquatch a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the El Paso Mavericks, 3-2, at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Sepulveda, now 8-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Paul Massaro earned the save, his 19th, for the Sasquatch.

Center Fielder Charles McNeil made an impact for Seattle, when he swatted a solo home run off Bret Naughton in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, McNeil was 1 for 3 with a home run.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said McNeil.
