Tornadoes Earn Late Win
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Chicago Eclipse, 4-3, in part because of left fielder Josh Dickey. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Tornadoes improved their record to 81-64 by beating Chicago.
Dickey had a timely hit for Kansas City in the bottom of the eighth. With Kansas City trailing 3-1, he turned a 2-1 changeup into a 3-run home run. It was his 28th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Kansas City.
Kansas City manager Hen-to Zhou was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
