The Montreal Mounties went home winners at Field de Los Layendas, thanks in large part to starter Sandy Briseno. Briseno stifled the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, enabling Montreal to grab the 4-1 win. Cabo San Lucas has now lost 5 straight.

The Toreros had trouble solving Briseno, who surrendered no runs on 4 hits over 7.2 innings.

"Sandy -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Mounties manager Julián Martínez. "He was the key to us winning."
