El Paso catcher Ralph Kasher was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Dallas Texans. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk for the Mavericks. El Paso reliever Jay Bowman picked up the win, raising his record to 9-6. Mike Boyle was tagged with the loss. Frans van der Meer wrapped it up, recording his 35th save.

El Paso used a clutch at-bat from Vincent Herrera to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Mavericks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Herrera attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
