Moonshiners Come Up Short at Walnut Creek, 3-2
In a low-scoring contest between the Walnut Creek Warriors and the Asheville Moonshiners, John Driscoll, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL with a 3.87 ERA, proved to be the difference. The Walnut Creek left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Warriors win. Patrick Greathouse, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The Warriors now own a record of 86-59.

Walnut Creek took a 3-2 lead on Colin Kennedy's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Kennedy hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Asheville pitcher Jimmy LaPointe visibly frustrated.

"Winning is great," Kennedy said. "It's always just guys picking each other up -- if not me, then the next guy."
