Big Day for Duchêne as Orange Sox Down Caterpillars, 30-10
In a high-scoring game between Syracuse and Easton, designated hitter Bruno Duchêne was a difference-maker. The 21-year-old helped Syracuse grab the 30-10 win. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 3 walks. He scored 6 times and drove in 7. Alexis Ruiz, who is rated as the 30th best prospect by BNN, was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 4 hits, with 7 walks and 5 strikeouts. At 12-4, the Orange Sox have played well so far.

Syracuse used a clutch at-bat from Bobby Gastelum to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Orange Sox ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Easton manager Mekonnen Asani said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."
