The Bighorn Bison topped the Montreal Mounties, 6-2, with third baseman Chris Crofts playing a big role. Crofts went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bison in the win. Zach Phillips was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. With the win, Bighorn has a record of 65-79. Montreal falls to 87-57.
With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the sixth, Crofts had a key at-bat for Bighorn. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Crofts hit a run-scoring single off Gary Selby, making the score 2-1, Bison.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Crofts told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
