Honu Lose to Mounties, 4-1
|
Evan Tedford, who finished 3rd in the TML in ERA with 2.49 in 2055, was terrific for the Montreal Mounties in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Hawaii Honu. His performance earned Tedford rave reviews. The winner was Tedford. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Miles Sorrells. With the win over Hawaii, the Mounties improved to 85-59.
The Mounties got a big at-bat from left fielder Steve Frank. For the game, Frank went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Montreal a 1-0 lead.
