Gremlins Earn 8-4 Win Against Bison
It took 10 innings, but the Houghton Gremlins were able to beat the Buffalo Bison, 8-4, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Adam Pappalardo provided some offensive muscle for Houghton. He belted 2 home runs. Reliever Chris Wethington picked up the win. His record improves to 3-5. Yoshikazu Kamiyama, who is tied for 10th in the TML in saves with 27, took the loss. With this game in the books, Houghton is 88-56, Buffalo 59-85.

Houghton needed the clutch hitting of Angel Tabares to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Gremlins on top, 5-4. For the game, Tabares had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Tabares told the Houghton Herald. "And padding the Houghton win column."
