Islanders Win with Late Heroics
The Coronado Islanders beat the The Stinging Larvae, 11-10, in 11 innings at Barack H. Obama Park. Coronado catcher Danny Madrigal led the way. He was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the loss, The Stinging is 2-13.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Coronado second baseman Jon Bailey, facing Alejandro Cazares, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Islanders the 11-10 win.

"There's no quit in this team," said Islanders manager Ed Lenhardt.
