The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at The Nest, dropping the Houghton Gremlins, 11-4. Bobby Loscalzo, who leads the TML in quality starts with 17, was the difference-maker. Loscalzo yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 14-7. At 84-59, the Hornets are currently first in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

In the bottom of the sixth, Eureka left fielder Ed Cormack had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Cormack stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-2, Eureka. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
