Sasquatch Snatch Late-Game, 5-4 Win
|
The Seattle Sasquatch faced a tenacious opponent in Chicago pitcher Chris Titus, but still scratched out a win at Millennium Field by a final score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Titus went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The last-place Eclipse now sit at 60-83.
Charles McNeil went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Seattle. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Oscar Zegarra. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
"We had a chance to win," said Chicago manager Jared Hughes, "but we didn't get it done."
