The Syracuse Orange Sox beat the Carrollton Rangers at Syracuse Fields. The final score was 7-6, in favor of Syracuse. Bruno Duchêne led the way, going 2-for-4 for the home team. Losses have been rare for the Rangers, who are now 11-3.

Duchêne contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Syracuse in the bottom of the seventh. With his team trailing 6-3, Duchêne took a fastball from Roberto Diaz and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Orange Sox to leap in front, 7-6.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Duchêne, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
