Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Seattle Sasquatch take on the Quebec Armada.

Quebec second baseman Fernando Puente contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the Seattle Sasquatch. Puente, who is tied for 6th in the TML with a .330 batting average, went 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Armada. Picking up the win was Jim Curran. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 1.

Quebec won the game in part because of Luis Cartagena. The shortstop ripped a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Armada ahead, 5-1. For the game, Cartagena had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Cartagena told a Quebec Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
