Riding the 2-hit performance of the 18-year old shortstop Yao-pang Chai, the Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Thunder Bay Lighting, 10-0. Mario Romero snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 4.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. The loss drops Thunder Bay to 9-5.

Alberto Guzman, who is tied for 6th in the RR in stolen bases with 1, helped out the Brooklyn cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances, while scoring 2 runs.
