Tapia, Storm Beat Sabercats, 8-4
The Wichita Storm beat the Sedona Sabercats by a score of 8-4. Wichita shortstop Steve Tapia deserved the lion's share of the credit. Tapia hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Storm. The overall performance of the 2066 Sabercats has been rotten so far.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Carlos Guevara was at the plate when Wichita scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Storm to go in front, 5-4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Wichita manager Jose Munoz.
