Starting pitcher Raul Frausto did his part in helping the Huntington Station Ramrods thwart the Milwaukee Millers, 3-1. The winner was Frausto. He threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jay Davis. Dusty Miranda notched his 9th save of the season.

Danny Ortiz had a big solo home run for the Ramrods in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Huntington Station leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a splitter from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jay Davis and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 20th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ramrods ahead, 2-0.

"Makes our job easier," said Ortiz, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."

The Ramrods now own a record of 65-76.
