Moonshiners Get One-Run Win at Milwaukee
The Asheville Moonshiners topped the Milwaukee Millers, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Mandalore Complex. The game was highlighted by the performance of Asheville pitcher Felix Garcia. Garcia, now 8-10, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 1, walking 8, and allowing 2 runs. Steven Shiplack earned the save, his 26th, for the Moonshiners.

The Moonshiners got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mike Flemming. For the game, Flemming went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 40th double of the season gave Asheville a 4-2 lead.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Garcia.

By defeating Milwaukee, the 5th-place Moonshiners improved to 63-77.
