|
The bat of David Monroy helped the Yuma Varmits top the Wichita Storm, 9-1. Monroy went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Yuma. The loss lowers the Wichita record to 2-7.
Jose Balderas aided the Yuma cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman was 1-2 with a hit by pitch.
