Schuster Lifts Lions to 12-9 Triumph
Lerna designated hitter Joe Schuster had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Billings West Golden Bears, 12-9. Lerna pitcher Matt Gramling got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Ron Crawford got the loss. The third-place Lions improved to 32-33.

Had Nate Power not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Power hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Lions.

Said losing manager Bill Conklin: "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
