The Buffalo Bison downed the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 4-1, at The Kaleidoscope. Stellar pitching by Jorge Torres had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the TML with a 3.75 ERA, handcuffed his opponent all game. Buffalo reliever Jorge Torres got the win, raising his record to 10-2. Wayne Duncan was tagged with the loss. Buffalo is in first place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division with a record of 42-30.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mace Kota? The Buffalo shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Bison on top, 2-0. For the game, Kota had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Kota told the Buffalo Gazette: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
