McAndrew Excels in 13-7 Downsview Win
Pearce McAndrew knocked in 3 runs to help Downsview beat Lerna, 13-7. McAndrew produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Duane Alcock got the win, improving to 2-4. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The win makes Downsview 35-28.

Dan Geddes had a big run-scoring double for the Mustangs in the bottom of the second inning. With Downsview leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 14-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Georges and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mustangs ahead, 2-0.

"Nice win for us," said McAndrew. "Now we'll go after the next one."
