Voodoos Topple Panthers, 20-10, as Harper Shines

The first-place Rutland Voodoos picked up another win.
Voodoos shortstop Mike Harper left his imprint on his team's 20-10 win over the Pleasantville Panthers. Harper went 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Rutland in the contest. Brian Sorensen came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0.
Tim McCay, the Rutland left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 12-9, Voodoos. For the game, McCay went 1-2 with 4 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Voodoos manager Jason Fritz.
The Voodoos raised their record to 43-19.
