Sedona and Wichita put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Sedona Sabercats topped the Wichita Storm, 11-9, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter Alex Hernandez. On the day, Hernandez went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Sabercats. Sedona reliever Jorge Delgado picked up the win. Danny Serna took the loss for Wichita. Earning his 1st save of the year was Domingo Andino.

Had Ryan Hamner not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hamner hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 10-9, in favor of the Sabercats.

Hernandez said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."

With the win, Sedona goes to 1-4.
