Indians Win at Seminole, 7-3
|
The Jefferson Indians beat the Seminole Warhawks, 7-3, at Attack Ballpark. The Indians got a fine performance from third baseman Clay Aastrom, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Indians raised their record to 27-34.
Jonathan Ontiveros had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Indians. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and Jefferson trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ontiveros.
