Hernandez Goes Wild, But Peaches Win
Paradise Island designated hitter Dave Hernandez was sensational. He belted 3 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 8. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Savannah beat the Pirates, 17-16. Savannah reliever Jordan Garcia was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jesus Casallas took the loss. At 3-1, the Peaches have played well so far.

Savannah used a timely hit from Roberto Govea to get the win. The first baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Peaches on top, 16-12. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Govea.
