A 4-RBI performance from Jeff Cummings helped the Derby Panthers beat the Downsview Mustangs, 13-8. Derby starter Justin Obert was credited with the win after throwing 73 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The 4th-place Panthers have a record of 29-31.

Robby Baker had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the second for Derby. With the bases loaded and the Panthers leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Baker told the Derby Herald.
