Cardinals Roll to 8-1 Win Over Panthers
|
A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Brad Boivin, who is tied for 2nd in the HALL in bases on balls with 44, led the Kearny High Cardinals to a 8-1 win over the Pleasantville Panthers. Dusty Murphy got credit for the save for Kearny High. It was his 7th of the year. With the victory, the Cardinals record now stands at 34-24.
With Kearny High leading 4-1 in the top of the ninth, Boivin hit a fastball from Scott Barton for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Cardinals ahead, 8-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Boivin.
