A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Billings West Golden Bears and Montreal Cardinals.

Jaylen Allison helped his team muscle past the Montreal Cardinals, 7-5. In the game, the Billings West left fielder went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times. The win was credited to 17-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Bergren in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Don Snook took the loss. Jonathan Mundy wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Billings West took a 7-5 lead on Ed Jock's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Jock hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Don Snook visibly frustrated.

"Not the sexiest win," said Golden Bears manager Bill Conklin, "but I'll take it."

After today's action, Billings West sits at 16-41; Montreal slips to 24-33.
