Canby and Lerna duked it out and the Lancers came out victorious.

Behind the hitting of Austin Hyde, the Canby Lancers stopped the Lerna Lions, 9-7. Hyde was 2-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Lancers. Canby reliever Dustin Cunningham got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Ian Del Bene was tagged with the loss.

In the first inning, Hyde had a 2-run double for Canby. It was his 17th double of the season and put the Lancers on top, 7-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Hyde.

Their 31-25 record puts the Lancers second in the Pete Rose Little League Roger Clemens Division.
