Walk-Off Seals 31st Victory for Patriots
Patriots shortstop Eric Christian put his stamp on his team's 15-14 win over the Santa Clara Vampires. Christian slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for George Washington in the contest. George Washington reliever Ed Stegner was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Neil Smith. The Patriots move to 31-24 with the win, while the Vampires drop to 27-28.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when George Washington right fielder Mike Luallen, facing Neil Smith, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Patriots the 15-14 win.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager James Cobbold.
