Mustangs Hang 7-3 Loss on All Blacks
|
The San Marin Mustangs picked up a win at Silvertips Ballpark, knocking off the Baie-Comeau All Blacks, 7-3. On the mound for San Marin was right-hander Noel Belcher, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Mustangs improve their record to 25-30 with the win over Baie-Comeau.
The Mustangs grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Shane Stafford, who is rated as the 52nd best prospect by BNN, hit a 3-run home run off Jim Nowak, putting San Marin in front, 3-1. For Stafford, it was his 8th home run of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Stafford.
