Panthers Hang 14-6 Loss on Warhawks
|
The Pleasantville Panthers trumped the Seminole Warhawks, 14-6, at Attack Ballpark. Pleasantville shortstop Tim Bufkin was named player of the game for his performance. He went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The third-place Panthers improved to 29-26.
Pleasantville grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Frank Weiss delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 7-6 in favor of the Panthers.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Weiss told the Pleasantville Observer.
