Voodoos Overcome Great Performance by Burden in Win
Rutland and Frontance slugged it out at Chickenhawks Stadium.

Frontance got a terrific game from designated hitter Gregory Burden. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Rutland, 13-12. Burden went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Ryan Knight finished the game for Rutland and earned his 13th save.

Rutland needed the clutch hitting of Jeff Miller to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Voodoos on top, 13-12. For the game, Miller had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Miller.

The Voodoos sport a record of 39-16.
