|
Baie-Comeau and Riverside put this game in the books despite some rain.
Dustin Mitchell was superb against Riverside. The left-hander, who leads the HALL in innings pitched with 67.0, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-3 All Blacks victory. Steve Kearns locked down his 2nd save.
The All Blacks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Matt Allgor. For the game, Allgor went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 19th double of the season gave Baie-Comeau a 2-0 lead.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Riverside manager Jacob Pitcock. "The effort was great."
Baie-Comeau has 3 straight wins, Riverside 3 straight losses.
