Big Day for Ditzenberger as Lions Down Cardinals, 13-11
The Lerna Lions beat the Kearny High Cardinals, 13-11, at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. The Lions got a fine performance from shortstop Chris Ditzenberger, who slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Tom Goggin closed out the game, earning his 6th save. With the win, Lerna has a record of 24-22. Kearny High falls to 26-20.

The Lions got a big hit from left fielder Lance Zerfas. In the bottom of the sixth, Zerfas smacked a grand slam home run off Kearny High pitcher Erik Runyon. It was his 15th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Lions were ahead, 12-11.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Zerfas said after the game.
