Chargers Beat Panthers in 10
|
Benefiting from Nate Ulan's productive game, the Topeka West Chargers downed the Pitman High Panthers, 10-6. Ulan was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Chargers. The Panthers, now 18-28, have lost 4 straight.
Ulan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a first pitch slider from Wen Wang, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Chargers a 10-6 lead. It was the 27th home run of the year for Ulan.
"This place was jumping at the end," Ulan said.
