League Punishes Pair for Fighting
Thursday, September 11th , 2064
If there wasn't a history between Lorenzo Vazquez of Kingston and David Herrera of Santa Clara, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Vazquez said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
On the year, Vazquez has hit .231 with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 22 runs.
Herrera has posted a 5-3 record for the year with a 5.45 ERA. Teams are hitting .282 against him and he has rung up 110 strikeouts in 99 innings.
