The Toronto left fielder smacked 1 hit against the San Carlos Pipers in today's game at Pipers Grove, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Blue Jays drop the game, 4-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Ben Waugh flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. To date this season, Waugh is hitting .475 with 48 home runs. |
