Year Over for Thunderbirds Alvarado
Thursday, May 22nd , 2064
Surrey starting pitcher Luis Alvarado could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Brighton game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Alvarado would be out 8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
His record this year is 2-2 in 9 starts and Alvarado has a 3.80 ERA.
