Nelson Socks It to Thunderbirds, Cracks 5 Hits Friday, April 18th , 2064 The Surrey Thunderbirds couldn't stop Milt Nelson, but they stopped the Oak Park Architects, 16-11. Nelson went 5-for-6 in the game at Oak Park Stadium, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score. "I feel bad for Milt -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Oak Park manager James Naber. "The Thunderbirds were on their game today." Milt Nelson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tim Connel in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
