The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Jong-Min Kim Jr..
The second baseman for the Manhattan Slice hit the milestone against the Seattle Sasquatch, helping his club to a narrow 8-7 victory. Kim Jr. finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate.
"Kim Jr. was a tough out," Seattle manager Alim bin Umar told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."
Jong-Min Kim Jr. doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Nate Yelinek in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
This season, Kim Jr. has hit 2 home runs and posted a .277 batting average.
