Bay Stars Topple Dragons with Late Rally

For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.
The Yokohama Bay Stars defeated the Chunichi Dragons, 6-5, in Central League action at Cuckoos Stadium, with Yokohama pitcher Yun-ho Jou named player of the game. Even with the win, the Bay Stars have a dismal 18-38 record.
Shoh Fujikawa was the walk-off hero for Yokohama. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bay Stars second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Yokohama manager Michael Younger.
