2064 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Rancho Cucamonga.

The Ft. Worth Werewolves beat the Rancho Cucamonga, 14-4, at Werewolves Grounds. Ft. Worth third baseman Ed Sanches had an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Chris Pirela, the winner, goes to 9-14. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

The Cucamonga had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Werewolves going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old shortstop Kevin Foster came to the plate. Foster hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from Rancho hurler Mario de la Cruz. It was Foster's 8th home run of the year.

"It's disappointing, but we have to move on," Rancho manager Tony Vargas said: "You're going to have games like that."

The third-place Werewolves have won 5 consecutive games.
