Steelhounds Suffer One-Run Loss at Oak Park
The Oak Park Architects managed to get by the Brighton Steelhounds, 5-4, at Oak Park Stadium. Oak Park pitcher Howard Garnier set himself apart with his performance. Oak Park reliever Eddy Ortiz picked up the win. Danny Bonilla took the loss for Brighton. The second-place Architects have won 4 in a row.

Eddie Long drove in one run for Oak Park. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Danny Bonilla. It was his 20th RBI of the season.

"Howard is one tough son of a gun," said Oak Park manager James Naber.
