The Chunichi Dragons topped the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 6-4, in Central League action at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. The player of the game was Chunichi pitcher and Wisner, Nebraska native Nate McClure. McClure went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-1. Chunichi has an impressive 29-14 record.

The Dragons got a lift from designated hitter Matsu Ishimaru who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Bobby Luther. It was his 13th RBI of the season and put Chunichi in front, 2-1.
