The Aiken Thoroughbreds defeated the Cuautitlan Izcalli Atlantics, 12-7. Right Fielder Ignacio Montoya deserved a large share of the credit. Montoya was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Thoroughbreds. Aiken reliever Mel Reyes snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Cesar Leon shouldered the loss. The 113-44 Thoroughbreds have won 10 games in a row.

Mario Lara hit a 2-run double off Cesar Leon in the bottom of the first, which put the Thoroughbreds in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Lara had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We're playing like a well-oiled machine right now," said Thoroughbreds manager David Flecha.
