Fujikawa Goes Off, But Giants Win
Yokohama got a terrific performance from second baseman Shoh Fujikawa, but it wasn't enough to beat the Yomiuri Giants. Yomiuri won the Cuckoos Stadium contest, 11-9. Fujikawa was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Reliever Zachery Henry picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Paul O'Neal took the loss. Heita Tagami closed the game out for Yomiuri, earning his 1st save.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning. Facing Yokohama hurler Paul O'Neal, Tsuyohi Okinaka hit a sacrifice fly. The Giants went on to win.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Okinaka said.

The Giants have now won 4 straight.
