Pitcher Jeong Shin was rock solid in helping the Aiken Thoroughbreds beat the Rancho Cucamonga, 4-1. Sergio Rivera earned his 5th save in 7 chances. Aiken, at 110-44, is cruising.
Aiken used the hitting of Agustin Moreno to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Thoroughbreds on top, 2-0. For the game, Moreno had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"All in all, I thought Jeong pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Aiken manager David Flecha.
