The Oak Park Architects managed to get by the Saint John Alpines, 7-6, at Oak Park Stadium. Oak Park center fielder Danny Valverde set himself apart with his performance. The win went to Robbie Garza in relief, making him now 7-7. Luis Perez took the loss for Saint John. Oak Park is now 95-58.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Oak Park pinch hitter Kyle Noles, facing Momosuke Egawa, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Architects the 7-6 win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Oak Park manager James Naber.
